Exclamation Towing with an'04 Tahoe 4X4...

Hey guys,I'm not here looking for immediate answers,but I need some opinions on getting my Tahoe set up for towing(airbags,tuner/programmer,sway bar bushings,brakes....and so on),we will be towing our TT(7000#...I think),I have an EZ Lift weight distribution hitch and Prodigy P2 brake controller,any thoughts would be appreciated.....Phil

yeah do all of the above and then some. 7000 is alot. hopefully you have the 3.73 gears.you can do what I did. I am still not done yet. soon I will be putting in a custom grind cam.

Hey lariders,I was looking into the pcm reprogramming thing,can you tell a good difference after having it done?

I could not tell ya. The main reason I have it is for the supercharger but alot of other people on this site have said great things about a custom pcm. at this point I don't think i would feel a extra 30 hp.

the air bags help. the coil springs don't hold much weight. a CAI should help. I would say not to do a exhaust, it will be loud if you can't tow in overdrive. brakes should be fine as the trailer should stop it self. I changed out most of my bushing with polyurethane ones. the stock ones don't do so good. the prodigy seem good from what I have used it. what gears do you have? Make sure you have a good trans cooler on there.
