Towing with an'04 Tahoe 4X4...
Hey guys,I'm not here looking for immediate answers, but I need some opinions on getting my Tahoe set up for towing(airbags,tuner/programmer,sway bar bushings,brakes....and so on),we will be towing our TT(7000#...I think),I have an EZ Lift weight distribution hitch and Prodigy P2 brake controller, any thoughts would be appreciated.....Phil
I could not tell ya. The main reason I have it is for the supercharger but alot of other people on this site have said great things about a custom pcm. at this point I don't think i would feel a extra 30 hp.
the air bags help. the coil springs don't hold much weight. a CAI should help. I would say not to do a exhaust, it will be loud if you can't tow in overdrive. brakes should be fine as the trailer should stop it self. I changed out most of my bushing with polyurethane ones. the stock ones don't do so good. the prodigy seem good from what I have used it. what gears do you have? Make sure you have a good trans cooler on there.
