I am having a problem with my tire pressure monitor in my 2005 Tahoe LS. It keeps telling me my pressure is low, but I have checked them and they are fine. It also will switch the tires it says is low. Is that the sensors in the tires or is it the monitoring system? How often, if at all should the sensors be replaced?
Thanks for your help!!

I bet its your sensor in the wheel. Have you ever used fix-a-flat in the tire? My Tahoe sensor got all messed up using that stuff once.

I have only had the Tahoe about a week and a half, so I haven't done anything to the tires. The tire pressure light was on when we got it and we filled the tires and it was fine for a few days. Now it keeps telling me that my right rear tire is low. I also get a message on my dash that says "service tire pressure monitor". Does that mean the system itself or the sensor in the wheel?

I'd check and make sure the sensor monitors at each wheel are clean and clear of any debris, mud, grease and the like...
if it still give you trouble take it to the dealer to have the tires rotated and they will also relearn the sensors for a whole 20 bucks
