Default Traction Control & Gas Mileage

I own a 2007 Tahoe LTZ. Does anyone know if having the Traction Control off changes the gas mileage?
Does it actually work by reducing engine power or applying brake pressure to the spinning wheel?
Also, I have tried a few times to program the Homelink for my Garage Door with no sucess. I hold both outer buttons until it starts flashing and release. Quickly I hold the garage remote and then press the button I want programmed with no sucess! Any ideas?
Thanks,

How close are you holding the remote to the homelink? Sometimes it needs to be very close. Also whileholding down the buttonon your remote, you hold in thehomelink button you want programmed until thelight changes again.

Have you looked on the homelink website? They may have an answer for you there.

Traction control or Stabilitrak has no effect on fuel economy.
It operates by relaxing the throttle and applying brakes if necessary.

Check your garage door openner, there is a good chance that it is not the old Homelink system but the new Car2U system which has 3 green LED's.

Instruction for programming the 3 LED Car2U system can be found at:
