Default Traded the 07 Tahoe for a GMC 2500HD Duramax

My Tahoe has always been faithful, but it was time to upgrade to something that could pull our travel trailer through thick and thin... Pretty sure the 2500HD with Duramax turbo diesel and Allison transmission will do it with ease....

It sure will. The only problem now is you’ll want to test that D-Max and end up getting a bigger, longer 5th wheel! It happens all the time.
Have fun.

very nice. How does towing compare between the two vehicles.

Haven't gone and picked up the trailer yet, will try to do that today so I can make sure my weight distributing hitch and everything else lines up matches up. the new truck is 4x4 so it sits up a tad higher so I may have to get a drop shank for my weight distribution hitch to match up to my trailer. Since I'm effectively doubling horse power and tripling torque, I'm going to guess it's going to be pretty darn effective 😁

do you need a wd hitch for a 2500? I guess it can't hurt. I bet the 2500 springs don't squat at all for a 6000lb trailer.

fortunately current trailer is 4000lbs, barely notice it back there, with WDH installed the trailer sits near perfect level. We will be looking into 5th wheel trailer in the coming years.
