tranny linkage issues

tranny linkage issues
linkage keeps slipping away from the housing. tried the factory "u" bracket, twice. tried to jury rig it with a clasp, no luck, keeps slipping out of place. new linkage assembly? 2007 tahoe ltz. help would be greatly appreciated.
