Default 1 gen tahoe or 2 gen tahoe?

Hi everybody!
I am just registere.
I am going to buy Tahoe and I don`t now which.
I droven tahoe 97 and i like it
But tahoe second generetion have some interesting for me features like rear multilink suspension etc. If I`ll buy 1 gen tahoe it will be 1999 tahoe. If it will be 2 gen Tahoe, propably 2000 or 2001.
So, I got some question about 2 gen:
what the transfer case is use in this cars and what options this transfer case have (for example: 2H, 4H full time, 4L part time)?
Every second generation have multillink rear suspension and four disc brake?
Greetings

Default Gen

I honestly didn't see much of a change between 1 and 2... i had a 95, drove my wife's parents 04 suburban....

but when the 07+ came out... then I started looking...

if you can find / budget a 07+ I'd look at those... they are night and day compared to the old ones...

of course my 95 could actually go offroad, while my 2009 will never leave pavement...
