Transmission cooler?

I have a 03 chevy Tahoe that I am planning on pulling a 21' toyhauler travel trailer. The question I have is shouldI install a transmission after market cooler to prevent possible damage?

Welcome to the Tahoe forum.
Kind of depends on the tow weight but it couldn'thurt anything to have one IMO. Might check w/ Chevy parts as I think it was an option but not sure. I know for the 07+ there's one available.

Yep...I agree....never hurts. They don't cost much and they're easy to install.

The gross wieght is approx 7000lbs loaded. Does chevy make a cooler specific for the Tahoe?

Here's the GM part number for the '07 Tahoe: #12497071

It'll run you $80-90.

You could probably get it off ebay
