So how would she know how to charge the AC anyway? Or overcharge it?
I put old ATF(NOT BURNT JUST OLD) in with my motor oil when I change up to keep the oil passages from getting coked up. 1 quart in. Its 5W with super detergents why not?

You would think so but no not really. This was the problem with the Chrysler motors, 2.7L, 3.2L, 3.5L 6s. These new fangled motors would develop low oil pressure from clogged passages. The motor oil in the SJ-SL range(the youngest stuff out when these cars were introduced) was supposed to be preventative for this condition. It didnt work. So now you seldom see any LH cars out there and if you do they are cheap. Which sucks because the 1994-9 New Yorker was a way better car than the Lincoln Continental just on specs. But when they put the transverse 5.0 V8 in the Continental it was all over for Chrysler. So if you ever see one with that 3.5L V6, I bet(well the ones I see) the car is in perfect shape but it has "powertrain issues".

I just did the same thing, but only about two onces of Tranny fluid in the Oil fill
I was distracted and put a few ounces of tranny fuild instead of oil in the oil fill compartment - quickly closed everything up and got online to see if I'm in trouble...
Since my car is older -- '64 Chevy Corvair -- I'm especially concerned about preserving it as long as possible. Thankful I found this forum, from Chevrolet, no less!
From reading the posts in this forum it sounds like it's ok that there's a little tranny fluid in with the oil, but to get it changed asap - - tho i'm also hearing to drive it awhile first!?
Which is it - drive short 5 mile distance to get oil changed today or tomorrow, or drive up to 1000 miles, then get it changed? I have a job next week Tues-Sat where I'll be driving up to 500 miles, and have tomorrow off to get an oil change - or wait til next Sunday?
Your timely comments and suggestions are appreciated!
Feeling stupid ;(
Thank you.
