Yesterday I heard the truck backing up, and I noticed a loud clanking noise coming from the undercarriage of the truck. Today I crawled under with the engine running, and the noise became louder. Finally I crawled far enough back to find where the noise seemed to be coming from. It seemed to be loudest under the pan of the transmission. I put my ear up to it and it was rattling and clanking.

Its an auto tranny. I have no idea what this could be.
