Transmission Question
Hello,
I have a 2000 suburban with 147k on it and a transmission cooler line busted whilemy wifewas driving home. It lost a lot of fluid and would not go forward or reverse. I'm am going to replace the line tomorrow when the autoparts store opens. My question is since it lost alot of fluid did it damage the transmission and if I replace the lines and fill it back up with fluid will it work again? If anyone has any other suggestions please chine in. Thanks in advance.

I once sawa 01 burbanbleed completely out & was driven until it stopped moving. (clip was put on wrong side of cooler line & it didnt leak until about 2 blocks from shop!)Towed back, corrected line & refilled. Customer continued to bring back until they got rid of it w/trans shifting fine. Was at least a few years & probably 50k.
