FYI, I found on another forum
that pushing the dome light override button 3-4 times will disable the DRLs for the time that you have the ignition switch on. I sooo glad I found that out, I hate parking with the truck running and having the stupid DRLs on.

My wife's 2004 Tahoe DRLs can be turned off by rotating the lite switch counter-clockwise and releasing. Not sure if that'll work on '01s.

I've got a similar situation with my '96 Suburban. Just the other day I noticed the daytime running lights weren't on and the dash indicator light was lit. I checked the parking brake and all the fuses related, according to the manual, to the DRL circuit. Am I missing something else, all other lights and auxillary are working fine.
Any help.

I appreciate the help. I did pull and check each fuse in the under the hood box and swapped out the fuse labeled as 'lighting'. As far as relays, non of them are labeled DRL, of the four relays two are for diesel system and remaining two I swapped and had no success.
