Default update tahoe to ride like an escalade?

Looking at buying a 2007+ Tahoe...

One of my friends is bugging me to buy an Escalade and his only reason is ride quality.

What would it take to make a Tahoe ride like an Escalade?

Default ride

Easy; you need 26" wheels, preferentially rented, you should never purchase such a silly item. You need to tint all the windows to completely black using wal-mart or similar cooking film. That will ensure that most of it bubbles off within 2 hours of use. Next, you need to either break or remove most of the lights on it. Only one head light should work. Finally, load it up with concrete blocks or any other heavy items you can find so that it rides lower to the ground.

Then you be ridin'.

If you buy a LTZ, I am under the impression the ride is the same. (AutoRide)

If you do not buy a LTZ, the cost will be prohibitive. as in, never worth it. If you like the caddy's ride, you can purchase one. Rumor is the 2014 Tahoe and similar will be all new, so you may want to hold off.

i'll see if i can find a LTZ to test drive.

are you saying the 2014 might kill the current resale value of the 07+?

The same Tahoe owners that wait in line to buy the new iPhone the day it comes out will be running to the Chevy dealer to get the 2014 Tahoe, and paying top dollar plus.

I think that there are enuf issues w/ a 2007 that a new model won't hurt it anymore than it already is.

Go ride in an Esky then try a LTZ over same roads.

Default 09

09 was the most drastic mechanical change for the Tahoes

added a 6 speed auto.

the rest are all (mostly) the same.

2010 added a HDD in the headunit, incase you want to load your car with mp3s like it was 1999 again. (GM only missed that by 11 years lol)

Any major update impacts the resale of the older ones, but only a few grand.

I think the HDD in the Nav was a 2011 or 2012 add. I know it isn't in my 2010.
