Valve lifter is ticking when engine is warm and ideling
My tahoe 2001 5.3 LT autoride 4wd makes a light ticking sound when the engine is warm and idling. When I rev the engine to 900 and above rpm the ticking sound is gone. When the engine is cold there is also no ticking sound?
Is this a valve timing problem?
