Vehicle stalls during driving
PLEASE help us!!! I realize having this put on diag is the quickest way however I am somewhat able to fix things so I waI want to try this first.
OK....
We have a 2 wheel drive 1998 chevy tahoe.
This system has had the battery replaced and a new alternator installed as well. It went bad once possibly from a faulty computer issue?!?!? OK....
AFTER the items replaced we were driving down the road about 40 MPH and all of a sudden it died and then would not start back up resulting in us having to have it towed. In the past it would turn over and sometiomes start and other times not start. NOW however it is doing nothing which leads me at least to believe it is the starter. QUESTION of the day. WOULD the styarter being faulty cause the vehicler to shut down during normal operation???
SECIND... if NOT then WHY??? I know many things can contribute but I need to know what to do to fix this. IF I pull codes will this help me resolve the issue???
PLEASE HELP ASAP in Dallas, Texas!!!!
POSSIBLY Lee harvey shot it while I was driving.... LOL!!!!!

So I take it that the starter will not turn?
I would check the battery terminals and then the ignition switch out first, a faulty starter will not cause the engine to shut down on the road.
