I can't speak for their (Amsoil) car oil, but I ran Amsoil injection oil in my sled one year and won't do it again. It left too much of a sticky residue on the pistons and cylinders. The rep from amsoil looked at it and told me it was supposed to be that way. I didn't buy into it. I agree their should be sticky oil on the piston, but not like this, it was like tar.

Dave,

Thanks again for the good information. Mobil 1 will be my choice from here on out. Did we ever come up with an oil filter that can be picked up at the local parts store? Or does it have to be purchased through the dealer? Part numbers guys?

I have to admit, I am just like any other nasty male pig, I can drop a good one every once in a while.

BIG L(first name Initial) G (last name Initial)

That was my nickname throughout school. It started in middle school the first time I got laid!

Landon,
Be careful bragging about your ***** on this forum or you're going to have fyrcaptain over here with his nose up your crotch.

Aren't they the folks that used to sell canister oil filters that held a roll of toilet paper?

PF-48 still only available from dealer in KC area. About $4.00

i've never used Amsoil, but i've heard it was good. has anyone else besides jasonw75 have a bad experience with Amsoil? i use Royal Purple in my summer car 4 a few years now, without any problems so far. when i was using conventional oil in my truck, i'd change the oil every month. i know it sounds excessive, but in 7 mths. i had the oil coming out clean again with each change, the 5.7 had 332,000 K on it when i got it, and the oil was very dirty within 1 1/2 to 2 wks. i have recently switched 2 synthetic, and have noticed a quieter running engine and a little more power. if u ever do any "DIY" work, regardless of what it would be, i would think everyone would keep a log book with all their receipts for any warrenty issues or claims.

Just to clarify Mopar it wasn't in a car that I had a bad experience with them(Amsoil). It could be the best car oil in the world for all I know.
