Working on a 1989 suburban 454, 400 tranny, 2 wheel drive. There is a cylindrical can mounted on the driverside fender well, inside the engine compartment. It has lines coming from what I think is the oil pressure sensor and then returning to the oil pan. It appears to be "filter like" in that it seems to contain some pressure, but I can't figure out what the heck it is. Help!

Does appear to be factory or aftermarket? Could be an accumulator for oil.
