why do you want to move to the yellow top this time? I would think a red top is best for a stock vehicle. I had a yellow top in my Acura (1500 watt stereo). It died in 2 years and I rarely ran it hard w/o the engine on. Never know how long a battery will last but the Optimas only have a 1 year warranty I think. I would rather get the best battery from a local Auto parts shop with a good 5 year or so warranty.

Would I be wrong to assume the same Optima Yellow D35 will fit the 07 Suburban?

The last ten years, I've always bought batteries at Sam's. I know that they go at least five years and only cost ~$75.

I use the standard AC Delco Battery, it was replaced under warranty about 6 mo ago, and I have an Interstate deep cycle in the AUX tray that is hooked up to one of the extra studs on the fuse block.
its the battery that goes to my camper, I keep it under the hood to keep it charge and to provide extended power to the vehicle. It does to assist with starting but does with providing extra power for radio and DVD playing...
It also seems to keep the lights from briefly dimming when the alternator kicks in...

Default Optima part number - red top

Who knows the part number for the Red Top Optima that will fit in an 07 Burban? Looking to replace factory battery soon, it died yesterday for no apparent reason. I have always used Interstate Batteries, but at $140 and only 680 CCA, there has to be a better option!!

Default Strong Batt Needed for 07 Burban!

I have googled, but no direct part match for Optima Batts for 07 Burban. Interstate offers 1 battery, MTP-H6, but it's only 640 CCA, 800 CA. I have an 02 4Runner with Interstate MTP-24F, and it's 800 CCA, 1000 CA. The only difference is that the 24F is 3/4" taller, but still fit under the bracket that's there. I need juice! Although stock, a few minutes of lights, stereo or other, and it's dead!

Question Battery issue

A bit off topic but since it's about batteries running out... I had my battery running out yesterday and since then the AFM doesn't seem to be switching from V8 to V4 when I have my foot off the pedal. I heard that these vehicles with computers inside need some reprogramming (at the dealership or mechanic shop) when the battery goes dry. Is that real? Why is AFM not switching engine modes? Any suggestions are appreciated...

My guess is that the dealer needs to reflash the ECM.
