What fuse controls the mpg/mileage/etc on 2007 Tahoe LTZ
everything works on my dash panel but the little computer display below the speedo/tach will not light up. was wondering which fuse to look for and would it be on the side of the dash or under the hood

If not a fuse its possible the IP has a bad "chip" on it, there have been a few post on it but most have sent there IP's in to be repaired rather then repairing and posting... a search of the forum may give some results...
if you feel handy enough you might pull the IP and check the back for any poor solder joints or burnt components if all fuses check ok, also just reseating the cable harness may resolve issue... just some ideas..
