What may be causing the whistling sound in Chevy Tahoe
2004 Chevy Tahoe 260K miles, Sacramento, CA
Took Tahoe in for transfer case replacement. Came back making the whistling sound you can here in video (link below). The noise was noticed immediately after the repairs. This video is about 2 weeks after the work. Took Tahoe back to mechanic he said it was front passenger wheel hub assembly. I replaced the hub, rotors, and brakes.
The noise intensity is the same with increase in speed, but it does seem to fluctuate as if it is from something rotating. Makes it going forward and back. Usually starts around 5 mph. Will make noise when engine off and running the car down the driveway. Will not make the noise while on a lift with with wheels spinning.
Can anyone tell me what the noise is coming from? I
