Time for a coolant flush & fill for $65 @ my local shop...can I do it for much less? How do I get the block to completely flush & how much Dex-cool do I need to buy? She is a 1997 Suburban with the 5.7 350.

 

the book says 20 qt's with A/C,there is a drain on the bottom drivers side of the radiator and block drains,i flush mine by taking out the t stat and disconneting the upper hose at the radiator and running it with the heat on until it comes out the upper hose clean then drain that out and fill it with anti freeze mine had the green stuff in it so thats what i put back in,it would be a good time to change the upper and lower hoses and the t stat
