Hello.

What places are offering the lowest prices for the 2007 Tahoe. I had a 2001 and looking to move into a new one. I like the GTZ model but may look into the leather and other options that are included...

If you're in the Northern California area, call the broker I went through. He got us our '07 LTZ (with Nav, DVD entertainment, rear camera, roof, and 2nd-row buckets) in 24 hours for dealer invoice (~5.5K under MSRP). Fully loaded truck with every option except the engine block heater and 4.10 gears (we aren't towing anything). His $395 fee was WELL worth not having to set one foot on a dealer lot...we picked up the truck from the broker's office and signed all papers there. Just one phone call and we had the truck 24 hours later.

Not sure if I can post the link to the broker here, but my sig has a link on my site to the truck and there's a reference URL on my site.

Viper, you have any pics of the Z71. It may be worth waiting for although I do like the LTZ

If it's anything like previous Z71's, then it'll be overloaded with add-ons like different sidebars, rear tail light guards, maybe a brush guard, skid plate, different shocks, etc......all grossly overpriced and otherwise obtainable for half the price from aftermarket sources. Funny how Chevy really hits home runs in the sales department by putting the "Z" in the RPO option code and a badge on the car/truck. Think about it... Z28, Z06, Z16, Z51, Z71, ZL1.

When I had a Tahoe 2-door back in 1995, It was an LS package (cloth seats, etc) that had all options as the LT, except no leather or CD player slave. The SPID label said "Z71" on it. The Z71 back then was merely a skid plate, Bilstein shocks, and decals on the rear side panel of the pickups. On the Tahoe 2-door, it was the shocks and the skidplate only. That option was like $1,000... way more than the same shocks and plate were to cost together from aftermarket sources (and installed). I even bought the Z71 decals and put them on the Tahoe in the same placement as the pickups and I created quite a buzz in town and all the 2-door Tahoes like mine started getting the decals.

In my humble opinion, the Z71 option is not worth it...too expensive. My LTZ SPID label doesn't show a RPO Z71 code on it, obviously.

It's all marketing.
