White connector to key lock cylinder housing/ ignition

White connector to key lock cylinder housing/ ignition
I have a 2002 chevy tahoe and as i was replacing the key lock cylinder i some how maneged to break a white connecter located above the key lock cylinder. I was wondering what that connecter does, is it something important?
