Default Who designed the NAV interface?

I was in my buddy's Nissan Armada. I have to tell you, the Nav system in that thing is awesome. Not only is it functional, it is great to look at.
Going from my Tahoe to his Armada Nav is like going from MS DOS to Windows Vista.

I really wish that GM designers could combine form AND function. Engineers seem to not have an imagination.

You may need to clarify whether you think this is better or worse.

As far as form, Vista looks better than DOS. (I am a Mac guy)

One of my company vehicles is a 07 Tundra with Nav and I think the interface is superior to GMs and it supports Bluetooth. Denso makes the GM NAV unit.

That's why I was wanting the Kenwood aftermarket. It has the Garmin Nuvi system built into it and istop rated from what I've read andalready having theGarmin Nuvi 660 and I wish there was a way to just set it into my dash. It's got everything I could have imagined and it all works. MP3 player, Audiobook player, Voice directions,Blue Tooth,FM Traffic and a great screen. SD expandibility too. Now to get that into my dash. Of course Kenwood strips out the Blue Tooth so they could resell it to you.

Just my take...

The Navigation system in my 07 Tahoe is functional and works just fine, the graphics are also pretty decent.
The lack of Bluetooth (not really a navigation function though) is a drawback but easy enough to add.
I have a Garmin Nuvi 760 in my truck and it has an edge over the OEM Denso (as well as any other GPS unit I have seen) unit but I can easily reach a destination with both devices.

What did you think of the Nissan Armada compared to the 07 Tahoe overall (nav system aside)?

Speaking of the OEM nav, is there a way to disable the function that makes it impossible to enter a destination address while the vehicle is moving? I have noticed that is also not possible to scroll the XM categories while moving. This blows ![]

I actually thought rode a little rougher that the Tahoe. I didn't drive it, but riding in it seemed a little rougher. The fronts seat in the Armada are more comfortable. We made a 400 mile trip in it... no problems.

All in all I would say they are really similar.
