Default who has a k&n cai

ok, this is the deal. I wanted a cai but I did not need the tube, so why spend 300 bucks right. I was able to get a k&n cone filter the size I need online for $35 new. Now all I need is a heat sheild and mount. from looking at the ones online the k&n heat sheild is also a mount? I was able to get k&n to just sell me the heat shield for my truck, but of course it has no instructions on how to install. any one have some or a few pics. there is a few holes but they dont seem to line up with anything. I am hoping they did not send me the wrong one. even if they did I am sure I can fab somthing up, but I would rather do it the easy way. I would have to say 01-06 should be the same part number but not sure. thanks

never mind. It took over 3 hours but I found the info I need. I did not think it was out there on the web, but it just took a long time to find. looks like I will need to fab up a few things. But thats ok for the price I got everthing at. would have not matter either way. there is just to many things not stock and that have chnaged to use there set up. I guess when you want somthing to work you do what you have to. I think I have a sickness for messing with things.

hmm, i get my from ebay (250 SHIPPED). Took me less then a hour to install.
IDK, if it's worth ed. Too loud and can't feel any extra power. Sub, that's the one of the American muscle cars, where u have some 340 HP, but feels like 200 European or Japanese
I'm tried to race mi friend on Nissan Titan, but he gave me no chance. Sub is so lazy to accelerate fast
BTW, is there any working chip tuning for that "snail" ???

I think that the 5.3L only has around 300 HP. I have herd getting the pcm done helps. Just have to remeber that tanks don't move fast.

As I've pointed out many times before, the K&N power increase occurs at the upper end of the rpm band.
