My right front window switch was not working, the switch sent current to bring it up but wouldn't send current to the motor to bring it down. The lock/unlock button worked.
I swapped it out with a new switch from the dealer and the window switch worked great but the door lock button wouldn't work. I returned the switch.
I just put in a new aftermarket switch, same problem. Window works, but the door lock doesn't.
What's going on here?
Any thoughts?
It's on 08 suburban 2500 LS

Thought about that, but the lock works with the original switch but doesn't work with the new switch.
I think it's a problem with the new switch, like 2500 suburbans have different wiring than 1500 or something. The dealer had a hard time tracking down the right switch for it.
Volts gets through to the lock actuator on the old switch but no juice gets through the new switch.
I'm stumped.

Apparently this part does require programming for vehicle to recognize it. Dealer wants $170 to do it.
Any recommendations on a reader that will program as well?
