Question Wiper functions work but wont turn off

Hey, new to the forum, pretty excited!
I have used it many times as a guest!

I have a question I can't find a thread for:

My wife's 04 Tahoe's wipers will not turn off BUT unlike most they DO maintain every control- each intermittent setting, low, med, high. On the 'Off' setting it operates as though it is on the lowest intermittent setting. To add a strange twist, when I put it on Med it continuously sprays washer fluid (while operating on medium speed).

My guess is multi funciton switch. I don't want to invest, do the swap and then find out it's the control module or something else. Those are my guesses. I've pulled the fuse until I figure something out.

I deeply appreciate any help you can offer!

Did the 04's have rain sense? I don't think they did, but I honestly have no idea when it was introduced.

It all sounds like a multi function switch issue to me. I'm sure you have researched the cost of one, if not though I'd check with a local junkyard or ebay or something for a used one. Its possible to swap a bad one in, but if you did I doubt it would have exactly the same things wrong. If it acted the same way then it is something else...maybe a body controller or something?

Thanks for your reply.

No rain sensors.

I may run to pick & pull. New Multi Funct switch is $102, New Pulse Module $70. Didn't want to replace a working piece . I may run to the junk yard later this week. As you said, if it doesn't work- it'd at least be different enough to help me define my problem.

Welp, no junkyard in the area has the mulitfunction switch. Strange.
I really don't want to buy BOTH, anyone know if it's the multifunction switch (wiper controls) or the pulse module/wiper motor control module that I need to be looking at??
