Won't receive fuel, ?? vapor canister, ??
2005 Burbon 2500 stopped accepting fuel. Changing out the vapor canister and the vapor canister vent solenoid would correct this problem, correct? (a feller is trying to tell me he "may have to swap out entire fuel tank") and I feel like I'm about to be robbed blind. (disabled vet...can't do repairs myself...have to hire it out).
Thanx
Thanx
for the tank to fill properly the entire vent path must be clear otherwise pressure builds in the tank and this pressure shuts off the gas pump.
the vent path runs from the tank to the charcoal cannister to the evap vent solenoid out to the vent filter.
if you are getting dtc post them.
to answer your question...changing the cannister would work if the cannister was clogged...but it can also be the solenoid stuck closed or a block line for filter.
some tanks have valves in them but start with the vent path...if that is all clear and you still have issues...then consider the tank.
