RE: XM Radio
Has anyone actually done this yet?
Somehow I got a loaded up LT with Bose and DVD and no XM? Thought it was std equip on that trim level, oh well...
So, if anyone has done it how complicated is replacing the antenna? No cutting I hope? Also how does one remove the headliner without damaging it?
Thanks
Chris

RE: XM Radio
Chris,
I've done the install and it is fairly painless but takes about 2 hours your first time.
The XM/OnStar antenna is a simple remove and replace job, no cutting or drilling required.
The hardest part for me was mounting the plastic XM receiver retainer bracket behind the glove-box, the screws are very difficult to get started if you have large hands. Dropping the front of the headliner is time consuming but straightforward and fairly simple. Other than that you have to pull the stereo out to plug the wire harness into the rear of the unit, then connect the other end to the XM receiver and slide it into its bracket. Route the XM antenna wire down the passenger side A-pillar and button the headliner back up.
