XM receiver Theftlock
XM receiver Theftlock
I have a 2008 Tahoe with Nav and XM. I would like to get XM Navtraffic. I got a salvage 2009 Tahoe Xm receiver. I installed it and I get AM, FM and Onstar they all work. On XM I get Theftlock. I went to a dealer and the Tec did not know how to
re-learn VIN to DRR using tec 2 tool.

First of all, wrong spot to be posting, that is why you haven't gotten a reply
second of all, you cannot swap xm recievers from one vehicle to another. When it is plugged in, the VIN is married to the xm module and cannot be divorced.
You must buy a new reciever if you want it to work

Although this thread is a bit old I feel this can help many in the future...I did some experimenting and found out how to unlock these XM modules permently...
