Default Xm or Sirius???

I have a 2008 Tahoe lt1. I put an aftermarket pioneer radio in and I'm looking to add satellite radio, they offer an xm model and a Sirius model accessory. Is there one I should get over the other so I can use the stock satellite antenna or do I need to have an antenna installed? Thanks

if you already have a satellite antenna I think it will work for both, from what I gather Sirius offers NFL games XM offers Collage football...

Default merge?

Sirius purchased XM.

in either case, lifetime is $400, so long as you keep it 4+ years it's the best deal.

I did lifetime day one on my 09 Tahoe, with factory XM.

I also own 2,000s shares of SIRI. LOVE IT.

I can't STAND normal radio any more. nothing but stupid DJs and Ads..SO MANY ADS! and the quality of FM is just awful! with mine I can be in PA or CA or FL and get exactly what I want.

It works great on our boat too

Interesting... I was warned away from xm siri stock some years back by a broker...is it paying any dividends? I hear that Pandora could be some competition for satellite radio...

As far as music programming, XM and Sirius are nearly identical. The difference between them is in the optional premium programming - i.e. Howard Stern, NFL, NASCAR, Playboy, etc. I would suggest looking over what both have to offer and pick the service that suits your listening preferences. My Mercedes has Sirius, while my Tahoe obviously has XM. I have the same music channels programmed in each vehicle.

Default Siri

I bought 2,000 shares at $0.43/share.

It's now worth $2.22 / share

416.27% gain.

but yes, when auto makers have built in internet built in to the head unit, and pandora is free, that's when pandora would take over Sirius... but until you car has a reliable internet, cheap, connection, then sirius should grow.

the stock did crash, it was over $100 something a share in 1999-2001...

at $.43/share i was like, why not?!

I converted a 403b to a IRA, then coverted that to a roth to play with.

I turned $7,300 into $16,116 since May 5th 2009.

While the people paid to invest for me lost 40%+ of my money.

No, I will not offer investment ideas or advice, other than don't buy GM, or Chrysler stock

I will however say www.mint.com is the $hiti love it! and use the iphone app as well.

The US Gov't used your tax money to bail out a failed company, then fiat bought the loans....

so the US Gov't used your money to float a failed company such that a forien company could purchase it.

outsource!
