Default Which years did better with AFM?

Been looking at 2012-2014 Tahoes recently and wondering which years would be better on oil as some have oil using issues with AFM.
Thanks in advance.

Everything I've come across says the 07's are the worst at consuming oil. There are ways to deactivate it if you are concerned with it. I shut mine off a year ago and would never go back to it. The mileage drop off is minimal in my opinion and not having to add oil every 2000 miles and no more blue smoke when I mat it make it well worth it

I tried the Range Technology AFM disabiling device on my truck before I turned it off with HP Tuners.

BTW, my 07 just turned over 220k and I drove it six and a half hours and 435 miles today with no change in oil level.

I'll second that... my 07 started to use oil and was starting to show higher metals in the oil analysis at about 100k, I immediately installed the Range device to disable the AFM and oil used stopped, metals dropped. There is a loss of MPG, it's not horrible but it's noticeable, particularly on the highway but I am okay with it.
the Range device may not be compatible with the 14's...

Hey in2pro, was it you that was having battery rundown issues with the Range device installed and the car not being driven often? If so, was it ever resolved or does it continue to happen? Thanks! I may just either buy that or turn AFM off with a tuner.

I did initially, however it turned out to be the battery was the problem... (AC Delco professional series)
I installed an Energizer brand AGM battery and have left the Range plugged in for over a week without starting the vehicle and have had no issues since...
