I cannot speak for all AGM battery manufacturers, but OPTIMA AGM batteries require no specific charging profiles in vehicle charging systems. When charging, we recommend a typical alternator output range of about 13.7-14.7 volts, which covers just about everything on the road today. Some newer vehicles, mostly European at this point, do require battery registration when replacing a battery, regardless of battery technology, which can be challenging for some consumers.
