Once the parts are all in place have the dealer contact GM Tech Assist and see if they will provide the necessary VCI code to unlock the power folding mirror feature within the BCM and also the DDS and PDS.
They are instructed not to provide assistance or support to any dealer installing OEM optional equipment that did not come in kit form but sometimes they make exceptions.

Don't want to hi-jack thread but why would they take that stance? Sure doesn't encourage purchasing parts from GM/dealer. They want a cut of aftermarket but won't support purchasing OE- upgrade stuff. Seems to be counter productive.

I think you mis-understood. Dealer installed accessory packages are suported as necessary.

I think I understood. If they sell it as a kit they WILL support.

"They are instructed not to provide assistance or support to any dealer installing OEM optional equipment that did not come in kit form but sometimes they make exceptions."

If there is no kit and somebody pays the dealer $600 for all three pieces and the dealer's techs have trouble with the install (at $45 and hour) you get no support.

that's the way it sounds
