best battery
what's the best battery for 2008 Tahoe, LTZ? Live in Ca but travel, camping, sometimes haul small trailer, rarely in extreme cold. More exposed to hot than cold.
Have barely over 100 grand in miles.
Thanks,
JJ

The best Battery is one that is rated for use in your vehicle, AND, available in the most places/cities that you go to. You pay your money for those things, and they come with a warranty. It's important that you utilize that warranty when necessary. More money in your pocket. This applies to your travel.
Now Camping...
You have to be careful just using your "start" battery for that. Best way is to have/install what they call "house" batteries for your Trailer/camping needs. Those are separate from the one which starts your vehicle. They have a Relay that allows you to charge those House Batteries while you're driving, and they are automatically disconnected from your vehicle start system, when you turn the ignition off.
One more way to "extend" your camping battery needs...
Not as good as a "House" system, but, you can install a "Supplemental" battery in your vehicle (that's where you have two batteries) which simultaneously start and operate your camping needs. Keeps enough voltage to start your vehicle somewhat longer. But still, the "house" system is best.
