RE: OEM Reverse Back-up Camera (Full Parts List)
Any updates? I have read thru this post. I am not going to put the Lockpick harness in it, but I am adding the camera. It is the only thing I am missing. I have NAV, rear video, etc....just missed the camera
My thougths - get the camera, radio shack converter, and wire into pin 6 and 7 as stated before. The power will come from another source. Then I will get the GM to unlock the camera. Am I over looking anything?

Yeah, I didn't want to mess with that. I'm glad you got it all hooked up though. You didn't waste any time, unlike me with that frickin' VSS wire. Ha, ha.

Yeah, I wanted to get it done. I started abou 10 AM, and messed with it throughout the day. I was done about 4. I didnt work straight through. ONly ran into a few issues. I broke a few clips, no biggie. The rear side paneling was a PAIN in the butt to get back on. That was probably the biggest struggle. I ended up putting the camer right in the middle of the area we had talked about. I dont think it looks as good installed as the factory one. It hangs down to low and is very visible! I wish I would have went OEM I think. Anyways, it feels nice it is done. But it was A lot of work and I would not recommend it to just anyone! You could have some serious issues if you dont know a little about wiring and electronic installation. But removing the paneling pieces is probably the most difficult, that and working on the actual tailgate area. Kind of a pain in the rear. I am just glad it is done, and I was succesful without any big issues!
