I was using this web site to check the age of my Jaguar XF today (the 10th character in the Vin #) and I was able to confirm the year built was 2016.

I then thought that I would confirm the age of my 2017 Infiniti Q50S - its VIN # is JNIBFAV37A0440004

One of my friends also used vinpit.com to check the history of an old car. VinPit will be the best and most free option if someone needs a detailed history.

contacting dealer is also a good option but there are some sites too

I often check cars by vin decoder, because if you buy a used car at an auction you can get serious problems later in operation. Thanks for sharing this thread here. What is the easiest to search car vin number? Do you use any app for this type of information? I searched on Google and found a big list of vin provider. I want to input this one for example https://www.vincheckfree.com/ What do you think?
