Default 2.5L dipstick

A question on another forum asked how much oil does it take to raise the level from the ADD mark on the dipstick to FULL.
No one knew the answer.

I knew from experience it was more than a quart on the V6 dipstick.

I did not know until today the exact amount is 1.84 liters or 1.94 quarts.

The V6 oil pan holds 5 liters. The filter holds an additional half a liter. So even with the oil level at the ADD mark there are still 3.66 liters in the engine.
These numbers only apply to the V6.

The 4 cylinder engines hold less oil.

Not all. My Malibu is 4 holes and it holds 5 quarts of oil.

I guess I should have specified the 2.5L H25 LE8 V6 Suzuki/Tracker engine. Sorry.
