Default 2000 Tracker 2.0 L4 Fuel system

Hi Guys,
New here. I'm having a problem with my Tracker. Seems like it isn't getting fuel, which I'm in process of diagnosing.
I disconnected the outboard line from the filter, and ran a hose into a catch can to see if the pump was pumping.
I'm seeing that the pump is running for about 10-15 seconds, then no more.
I know that some vehicles will only temporarily run the pump before start up. Does this system do the same thing?
Or should I have pressure at the fuel rail whether it starts or not? Because right now, even though the pump is running,
I'm not getting fuel to the rail.
Thanks in Advance

I have the 2.5L V6 in my Tracker but my factory service manual also covers the 2.0L. I can answer some basic questions but for detailed 2.0L information you should sign up at the Suzuki 2nd gen forum.

One feature of the 2.0L is the ability to attach a fuel pressure gauge directly to the fuel rail. The adapter is hard to find but I think have a part number if you are interested.

Thanks so much for this and the info about the other group. This at least gives me somewhere to start.
