Default 2000 Tracker rear drivers side wheel locking up randomly

hello i am a little stumped, yesterday i drove my 2000 Chevy tracker 2.0 4x4 about 100 miles all was fine until i stopped at Lowes and then went to leave, i was about to pull out on the main road and my back drivers side tire started screeching and i slid sideways a little. i thought i was stuck there but i gave it a lot of gas more than i would usually have too and it began to creep forward then i mashed in the brake pedal and it almost went to the floor but unlocked the back wheel also, i know wtf right? i was about 25 miles from home so i crept home doing about 25 mph with the hazards on and it locked up on me 5 or 6 times between Lowes and home, but there was something about having it rolling because as soon as it would lock up i could mash the brake and it would unlock it. i took the drum off and everything looks normal i adjusted the shoes all the way in but after about 10 miles of driving its started again its not locking up but i can hear something in there rubbing and it not a good sound lol. im gonna check the front brakes because i read in my haynes manual that if the front pads are worn the rear shoes will i guess kinda compensate. if anyone has any idea please let me know because im kinda lost

Didn't read ur whole post but the first few lines were enough. I had the same problem. It's progressively gets worse. It's a problem in the ujoint in the steering shat. Basically they are starting to seize up. Let me know if you have a hard time finding a new one I'll ask the mechanic who got mine.

On the e brake bar on the bottom. There is a half/moon adjusting piece. Make shure it's around the mid-way point where it touches. This link might help you.
