Hello, we have a 2001 Chevy tracker with a oil leak.

we changed the valve cover gasket already. Would anyone know what is causing this leak?

Clean it real good with Gunk and then watch it closely to see where it is coming from. I would guess that it is coming from the timing cover oil seal.

Try the front crankcase main seal.

That's looks like a very slow leak. They were designed that way.

#1 jiffy lube over-fills oil that causes high oil pressure and oil to push on seals

#2 dirty oil carries dirt under the seal: and you can't get it out, then it leaks and only gets worse

if it's a slow leak just clean it once in a while before it drips. that looks like a very slow leak.

in the day they made that car they laughed at a drip of oil on the drive-way. literally.

also - that's pretty close to the oil filter. for all i know the oil filter was left loose two oil changes ago.

also - jiffy lube is greate at spilling oil on the top-side. that can leak down over days and seem like a leak when there is no leak.

until i see some damaged concrete - i'm not worried even a tiny bit

I am not a big fan of snake oil additives BUT...
I had a substantial leak on the front main seal. For $15, I tried a bottle of Blue Devil rear main seal stop leak.
It WORKED.
It has been about eight months now and no leaks. I still can’t believe it.
It takes about 400-500 miles for the magic to happen. But...YEAH.
”Two thumbs way up.” 👍👍
