Default 2002 Tracker

This is my 4th. Tracker. Put 250k + miles on all of them . My 2.0 2003 4×4 had a inout shaft bearing going into the trans. Spin and screw up the housing. Bought a new rebuilt trans straight shift trans. Could not find a used one any where. Went through 3 new ones before they built on right . Used my old gears. The cheap ones they wete using were not heat treated . Hong Kong Charlie. Why no used 2.0 straight shift trans. Anwhere. I just spent 3k.

Maybe most were destroyed in cash for clunkers?

Last summer I visited a local salvage yard to pick up 2002 Tracker parts--I was in luck as there was one there as well as a few Suzuki Grand Vitaras. I needed plastic threshold trim pieces for a Tracker I bought. While there, the yard told me they were dismantling the Tranny from the Tracker I was looking at because someone 200 miles away bought it and wanted it shipped!! So my answer to you is --> these vehicles have parts issues, namely a shortage of parts (at least in the USA). Tracker parts have limited availability. Have you checked Suzuki Vitaras or Grand Vitaras, 1999-2004? They are essentially the same vehicle. Be sure to VERIFY the specs, but you probably can use those parts as well as many are interchangeable.
