This compact SUV proved itself to be a fine ecnomical vehicle, good for making its way along any type of surface. Platform: CAMI (Suzuki)
The lights in my dash are OUT so I drive in the dark at night. (not a big deal) HOWEVER warning lights come on and when I adjust the dimmer switch those lights change.
I found what appears to be a bad spot that connects 2 lights.
im seeking the diagram for the cluster to determine where the background light is.
The flex circuit trace you show as being damaged/burnt appears to go from the input socket to the left of the photo (near the DENSO word) to the 4 large bulbs in the black sockets, that you haven't removed yet. Those are probably the general illumination for the instrument panel. It also appears damaged over there above the bulb to the left in the photo, near the DENSO word on that side.
This type circuitry can be repaired by carefully scraping off the plastic layer, and using a small soldering iron to jumper a wire over the breaks. However, to burn like that implies something shorted out to burn out the circuit. Could be bad bulbs, could be something else. I would check it with an ohm meter with the bulbs removed to make sure it is not shorted to ground (the other side of the sockets for these bulbs).
