Trying to figure out why my green coolant has this brownish tint with floaters in it. It's not real bad. From what I can tell, Trackers in 2000 did NOT ship with dex cool as coolant. Does anyone know for sure?

Anybody have any experience using chemical flushes on the 2.0L 4 cylinder engine? I guess this stuff leaves an oily film even if I get the chunks out. TSP is the first cleaner that comes to mind, but I'm concerned with TSP on an all aluminum engine. Thanks for any assistance.

 

The local Chevy dealership says no, they shipped with ethylene glycol coolant, the green stuff.
So I think I'm looking at 17 year old, rusty coolant.
