Default Engine washed and now it wont run

Hi All new here just got a 2003 Tracker 2.0 2 wd 4 dr for my wife. My friend wanted to help so he washed the car including the engine. After that it would not start anymore.
Just bought this with 175000 miles clean and was running. it did idle rough but started fine and ran. check engine light on since i got it but ran fine. now since the engine got wet i dried it with air and sprayed wd40 and let it sit all day. still wont run. checked IG fuse ok no spark at coils. pulled codes and it has a code for crank sensor which was not there before it got wet. wetting engine did not take out crank sensor. also has code for o2 sensor since i bought it too.
i was told it could be cam sensor does that sound right? way too costly to throw parts at it to see what works need to be sure
any suggestions?

I did that before on my old truck. It got moisture in the distributor cap.

I would inspect each electrical connector that you are getting codes for. I'd disconnect each one, blow it out with air, look for any corrosion to clean and apply wd40.
