Hello everyone! it's my first time posting. thank you for having me..
I've been working on my friends 2002 Chevy tracker with a 2.0 4-wheel drive. It was basically a basket case and I have found out that there is no throttle cable bracket in the parts.
So if anybody knows where I can find one I would be greatly appreciated.
I also need to know where the ground wire goes that is in the wire loom that goes down to the starter ( picture included)
As I have not found any books such as Chilton's or Hayes to help me out.
Welcome from Florida. You can ground a cable to any solid metal part that is grounded. I don't know how complex your bracket is, but you can make a simple one yourself. You can also try Ebay as I have found hard to find parts there. You can also try your local junk yards.
The cable in your hand appears to be BLK with a GRY stripe. The only BLK/GRY ground cable I am aware of is the one from the battery to the engine block.
You might try tracing your cable back and see if it goes to the negative battery terminal. On my V6 Tracker the BLK/GRY cable bolts to the bottom of the alternator bracket. Not sure if that's true for the L4 engine.
I'm not sure how to reply to each of you individually, I want to thank you for trying to help me out.
Yes the cable goes to the negative of the battery. So I'm assuming I just need to ground it to the block somewhere?.
Also that link is not for the bracket that I need. the one I need attaches to the intake that holds both of the cables. ( Pic for reference)
I've called all the local junk yards around me and they don't have a 2.0.
Again thank you both for your help!!
Hopefully we can find this bracket.
it's the only thing I'm lacking to get this job done.

If that is the only thing holding you up I would get a little creative like Old Chevy stated. Looks like a piece of angle iron could be fabricated to suit the purpose. Good luck with your problem.
Thank you again for all your help and input.
I have emailed many parts places with the help of your suggestions.
The owner of this truck would like to find the original part but if we can't I will fabricate something.
Again thank you guys so much!
I'm not very good at the chat threads. I'm not sure how to start or search for the topic.
I have a problem the owner of the 2002 Chevy tracker 2.0l bought a new torque converter TO25 and it does not fit I do believe it needs a TO70. if somebody could help me out and make sure that is what I need I would greatly appreciate it .🙏
