Default What is this plug for?

I have a 1999 Chevy Tracker 2WD Base 2.0 liter w/auto transmission. I had to have the engine rebuilt. I'm putting it back in and I cannot identify this plug beneath the intake manifold. It is bolted to a little bracket under the intake manifold. Please help.
Thanks,

Plug above starter

I have no experience with the 2.0L engine so this is just a guess...

but from the shape of the connector,...

location on the engine and the wiring color code, it looks like the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.

Don't know what it is, but as dirty as the interior is, I question if it was ever plugged in to anything on your last motor
