I have an 05 trailblazer, 13,000 miles. Ever since we got it on November 1, 2004 it has had a funky smell that comes from under the doors area.(not the front or the back)I have had it to the dealership MANY times, and they are telling me it is a normal smell. They say I drive it too hard. The only time it smells is when I drive it around town. It's not the smell of rotten eggs, but isjust as bad. I have gotten really bad gas mileage since I got it too. In town I am lucky to get 12 out on the highway 15-17...This really sucks as I am always putting gas in it. Has anyone else had a problem like this too? I am to the point of trading it in on something else, but I love the trailblazer!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!

 

it could be the catalytic converter that may be causing the foul smell.
