2002 trailblazer struggles to start when the engine is warm
Hi all, I am new to the group and am looking for a solution to my problem. I have looked on google, trailvoy forum and other platforms but can’t seem to find an answer. I have a 2002 Trailblazer EXT LT with 4x4. It seems to have an intermittent problem starting when it has been brought to full operating temp somewhat recently. Example: I drive for 30 min and stop for 5 min to get gas, engine will crank and hesitate but will eventually start. It occasionally takes a couple of tries. But if I have only been running the car for less than 10 minutes, it starts back up no issues at all. Or if I let it sit for about 30-45 minutes it also starts with no issues. Not every time, but a couple times when this issue has occurred, the temp gauge will also not be functioning when I finally get the engine to start. But again that’s only happened a couple of times and not every time. This is an intermittent issue so no one I have had look at it has been able to replicate the problem at all. It happens just frequently enough that I’m worried about it but not sure what to do. Neither my husband or I know a lot about cars. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!
