Default 2004 Trailblazer No Radio

Vehicle was jump started using the wrong studs. Nothing in the interior worked. Replaced mega fuse and everything came back except the radio. Check the radio fuse and it was ok. Dealer said that radio must be fried and should be replaced. Does that sound right?

I would probably say yes. That seems to raise havoc when you incorrectly jump the vehicle to fusebox stud instead of ground . Do you get anything out of it . does it light or anything? Some places can repair them if you search . Also if you get another factory radio you will have to take it to the dealer to get program as part of the VIN is programmed into the radio to prevent theft .

If you are sure the fuses are ok then yes you will have to replace it with a factory or aftermarket unit . If aftermarket you will have to get a device that allow the alarms to play thru your driver door speaker like the factory unit.

there are multiple radio fuses...one in the underhood fuse box and another in the fuse panel inside the car. I'm betting its just a fuse.
