I recently lost the number 5 fan speed on my 06 TB.......I have now tried 3 or 4 brand new resistors and a new resistor harness and still do not have the number 5 fan speed........1-4 work just fine! I tried both new OEM and aftermarket resistors. I would think that the fuse is fine since the other speeds work too....... Anyone else run into this before? Any input would be appreciated!

 

Since you changed the harness and the resistor, I would think the next step would be the switch.

 

Where is that switch located......I'm not exactly sure.....

 

Apparently the blower is controlled by 2 fuses......1 controls the high speed and 1 controls the other 4 speeds. The one that controls the high speed was blown.......changed it and problem solved!
